Take Root: Holding Together a Green Future
The very foundations of Bambike Revolution Cycles is rooted on pillars of sustainability and environmental protection. We have long advocated for protecting green spaces in all sorts of ecosystems from the jungles, to the mountains, and even within bustling cities. Green spaces serve as natural protection against the harsh elements of our weather systems. The recent events of Typhoon Carina sweeping across the Philippine Archipelago is a harsh reminder of that.
Before anything, we hope that you, dear readers, are safe. We pray that your family is well, and trust that we can bounce back from this.
Although we primarily work with bamboo, it goes beyond that. Healthy green spaces are home to diverse plant life with extensive root systems that grow through the soil. Immediately noticeable is how the overhead canopy protects us from the elements – against the harsh sun, rain, and wind. They also serve as the physical home for all sorts of living things. The roots that hold the earth together are less apparent, but just as important if not more so.
Green spaces act as a matrix that prevents soil erosion, collapse, and landslides. Thirsty plants hold onto water, keeping floodwater away from our homes and our streets. Co-existing with healthy natural environments benefits not just us, but all of the different species that we share this planet with. We keep on repeating ourselves about advocating for protection and sustainable practices, but we will never stop for the sake of our green earth. Do your part - from taking care of the environment in your own little way, to coordinating with community leaders to advocate for the green revolution. Even the littlest things add up to the biggest changes.
Like bamboo, we bend, but we do not break. Together, we will recover and flourish. Tomorrow, we continue the fight for a greener future.
